Variety Cruises' €1 Million Makeover: A New Era for Small-Ship Cruising
The Greek small-ship cruise line, Variety Cruises, is initiating an impressive €1 million makeover across its entire fleet of eight vessels. As the cruising season for 2025 approaches, this upgrade aims to polish the aesthetics and comfort levels of these beloved ships, ensuring they remain attractive options for travel lovers.
Enhancements Across the Fleet
Every ship will undergo a transformation that encompasses fresh paint, upgraded upholstery, and improved lighting to elevate the cruising experience. Two ships—Galileo and Harmony V—are set to feature more extensive renovations. Galileo will see its bathrooms and showers completely refurbished, along with a complete redecoration of cabins and common areas, making it more inviting for guests.
Focusing on User Experience
According to Chris Lorenzo, managing director of Seafarer Cruises, the move towards significant upgrades reflects a commitment to enhancing the "user experience." He noted that the intimate setting of small-ship cruising fosters a closer relationship between the crew and guests, enabling direct feedback that can lead to genuine improvements in the onboard environment.
The Importance of Maintenance
This impressive investment goes beyond aesthetic upgrades. It coincides with the technical maintenance that every sea-going vessel undergoes annually. In an industry that prioritizes guest satisfaction, ensuring the ships meet modern expectations is crucial as travelers increasingly seek personalized experiences.
