Panache Cruises Aims to Make a Difference for Families in Need
In a heartfelt initiative, Panache Cruises, a UK-based cruise specialist, is set to raise at least £50,000 for Reuben’s Retreat this year. Their fundraising efforts will include three distinct activities, each designed to bring the community together while supporting a worthy cause.
Challenges Ahead: Sponsored Climb of Mount Kilimanjaro
The most ambitious effort will see James Cole, founder and CEO of Panache Cruises, take on the daunting challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on June 1. He will be joined by a group of 18 climbers, including his family. “This year is special for me as I'm celebrating a landmark birthday,” Cole revealed, highlighting his motivation to give back as they tackle Africa's highest peak.
Community Involvement: Local Climb and Bookings Initiative
While some team members scale Mount Kilimanjaro, the agency is also hosting a local hike near their office in Chorley. This event will be accessible to approximately 50 associates and will further rally support from local participants. Additionally, for every booking made in 2025, Panache Cruises will donate £10 to the retreat and encourages clients to match this amount.
The Impact of Reuben's Retreat: More Than Just a Charity
Founded in 2012 after the tragic loss of Reuben Graham, Reuben’s Retreat offers critical support to families facing bereavement and medical hardships. “We have witnessed firsthand the incredible work they do to assist families,” said Cole, who is optimistic that they can surpass the £50,000 target to aid in renovating the retreat’s facilities.
Join the Cause: How You Can Help
This fundraising initiative not only promises to uplift the lives of families in distress but also invites local communities to take part in meaningful activities. Whether you’re signing up for a hike or making a booking with Panache Cruises, every action counts. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
